Croatia’s Atlantic Grupa deploys Gideon Brothers’ logistics robots
Croatian robotics company Gideon Brothers has launched a pilot project with Croatia’s food, drinks and distribution company Atlantic Grupa, it was announced on July 11.
The project includes the integration of a robotic system into Atlantic Grupa’s warehouse management system (WMS), the company said in a statement.
For the needs of the project, Gideon Brothers will be working with Symphony RetailAI, Atlantic Grupa’s WMS software provider.
Atlantic Grupa’s new logistics and distribution centre in Velika Gorica performs paperless warehouse operations powered by a modern warehouse management system which allows for optimised storage organisation, entirely digitised entrance management, goods commissioning and dispatching, as well as vehicle management.
Gideon Brothers’ fully autonomous robots have a pallet-carrier load and lift capacity of 800 kilograms. The pilot project will use the “swarm me” use-case, where robots move from point A to point B, i.e. from one person to another, using the most efficient route
