omotive Industry” report prepared by Exact Systems shows this mainly concerns the production of the parts or components for the electric, plug-in hybrid and autonomous vehicles or the entire vehicles . However, the experts emphasise that the technological innovations constitute not only an opportunity for a development, but also a potential threat. Faced with the changes pending for the automotive industry, the European respondents are most of all afraid of a decrease in sales and car production, as well as the costs of the investments linked to an implementation of the new technologies.

With every year the significance of technologies in the eyes of the automotive plants increases. In Poland, every third respondent pointed this out, and two years ago – it was admitted by only every fifth one. It may be also associated with an implementation of the Electromobility Development Plan by the Polish government in which production plants in Poland and their inclusion into the production process of the Polish electric car will constitute an important link. It is worth underlining that development of the technologies is perceived as the greatest opportunity in respect of growth of the automotive industry in each of the surveyed countries, apart from Turkey, which is more interested in a production of a new model of the car. The most of technological optimists are present in Hungary (71%), Germany (68%) and Great Britain (50%.)
